Junior Chorus is open to students grade 1-2. Chorus meets Mondays from 2:45pm to 3:30pm. The Elementary Chorus Program is held in two semesters and runs for the entire year.

Through the Elementary School Chorus Program, the Arts Council of the Conejo Valley strives in helping students find their inner voice of music. The Arts Council feels that making music involves complex, higher order neural processes that integrate aural, spatial, logical, linguistic, kinesthetic, and emotional connection. We hope that the Elementary School Chorus program will be a pathway for each student to discover an appreciation for music.

Instructor -- Kayla Bailey
Miss Bailey received her Bachelor of Arts in Music from California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks and is currently in her final semester of study for her Masters degree in Voice Performance at California State University Northridge. At CSUN, she has performed in several operas and concerts with the University Symphony and is currently in rehearsals for the university’s fall production of Die Fledermaus. This past summer, Miss Bailey performed internationally, studying and performing opera and music theatre in Graz, Austria, as part of the American Institute of Musical Studies. Nominated for Volunteer of the Year by the Moorpark Chamber of Commerce in 2012, Miss Bailey is active in the community, having served as Miss Ventura County 2012 and currently serving as Miss Gold Coast 2013.
