Lake Titicaca, which sits at a high altitude, is not the only amazing thing inside this diverse country. Beyond the amazing natural landscape of mountains and rainforest is also Peru’s culture which proves to be extremely diverse as a result of its rich history, being the home to the ancient Incan capital if Cuzco and the lost city of Machu Picchu, and combined with the influences of the Spanish Conquistadors. With the Andes Mountains to the west and the Amazon River Basin isolating Peru from the rest of South America it has been able to maintain many of its ancient customs. Come explore this diverse and marvelous country.
