Learn dimensional techniques and intricate repeating designs, or caning, in this workshop geared for people new to polymer clay. These stunning beads incorporate metal bead cores new to the arts and craft market that add a silver sparkle to the naturally matte finish of polymer, and are sized to fit European-style charm bracelets. Make your color selection from several luscious palettes to suit your mood or signature style. Tools, including pasta machines, materials, instructional handouts and resource guides will be provided. Pure silver bead cores will also be available for purchase. Enjoy this day-long creative journey guided by an award-winning artist who holds a Masters degree in Art Education and more than 18 years experience in polymer clay.

Computer programmer by day, artist by night, Diane holds BS and MS degrees in Art Education and has worked with polymer clay since 1995. She is a past President of the International Polymer Clay Association and founding President of the Southern Connecticut Polymer Clay Guild. Her award-winning work has been exhibited in juried shows throughout the country and has been published in numerous books and periodicals, including Lapidary Journal, Bead & Button, Decorating Digest, Expression Magazine and Polymer Café. Her specialty is introducing students to the infinite creative expressions available with polymer clay. She lives on the Connecticut shoreline with her very understanding husband and possibly too many cats.
