Right to Work and Other Significant Changes in the Landscape of Public Sector Labor Relations

The seminar will focus on how the law operates and the impact of right to work on collective bargaining agreement administration and negotiations in the public sector. In addition, the legislature has also recently passed a number of laws related to collective bargaining in the public sector. This program will therefore also discuss how the legislative changes are being interpreted by both the Michigan Employment Relations Commission and the courts. By the end of the presentation, those managers and human resource professionals who attend will fully understand how the law and the decisions are impacting public management and what the best practical solutions are for dealing with these drastic changes in the public sector human resources landscape in Michigan.
