Learn the basics of how to help a baby who is choking, respond to a breathing or cardiac emergency, and how to childproof your home. These techniques use American Heart Association Family & Friends information. Those who attend will receive a participation card.
- The cost for the class is $10.00 per person. Scholarships are available for those with a baby in the NICU or who has been discharged from the NICU.
Instructor -- Barb Voll RN
Barb has worked at Salem Health for over 16 years. She worked in Mother/Baby and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for almost 10 of those years. Barb's teaching responsibilities include teaching infant CPR classes, the New Mom's Connection support group, and guiding Family Birth Center Tours. Barb says, "I enjoy my job educating parents and helping them to feel empowered to care for their infants and adjust to the changes that come with having a family." Barb has been married for 11 years and is a mother of three.
