"When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, it's amore." And if you "amore" pizza, then this class is for you! In this hour hands-on lesson, you'll make and knead your own dough, learn secrets of the trade, shape crust, and create a sauce that will get your family to the table faster than you can say buon appetito.

  • Due to the nature of this camp, Sweetwater is unable to accommodate food allergies/dietary restrictions.
  • Please bring 2 containers to transport your dough and sauce. All other materials are provided. BYOB

Patricia Droz, a Sweetwater Culinary Instructor, holds multiple degrees in English-- Bachelors, University of Michigan (2003); Masters, Texas A&M (2009); Doctoral Candidate, Texas A&M (expected 2014)--and is also working on Pennsylvania teacher certification in English Language Arts. When she is not teaching or writing her dissertation, she loves to cook. That love is what prompted her to earn a diploma in traditional French culinary arts in 2005 from the Culinary Institute Lenôtre, Houston. She delights in working with children and adolescents, and thinks that one of the best places to learn life's lessons is in the kitchen! She lives in Sewickley with her husband and their 2-year old daughter.
