Colored pencil combines the control of drawing with the transparency of watercolor. Students will learn a variety of techniques through guided exercises in this information-packed workshop for artists of all skill levels.   • - Colorless blender pencil
  • - Handheld or battery sharpener
  • - Battery eraser
  • - Pad of 9x12 Bristol (smooth) Strathmore 300 series
  • - Roll of red plaid tape
  • - 1 sheet of Saral wax free graphite transfer paper
  • - Small bottle of Turpenoid (not turpentine)
  • - May need a piece of black and colored paper by Canson MI Tientes - will discuss in class

Elaine Bergstrom has a B.A. in Design from the University of Illinois, and has acquired a Botanical Illustration Certification from the Morton Arboretum. She has completed her teaching certification from Carlow University and teaches at various places in the local community to all age groups. Oriental Painting, Watercolor, Drawing and Colored Pencil. She also teaches healing art classes and meditation. Past Chapter President of the AHBAS Chapter(Allegheny Highlands Botanical Society).Member of the CPSA (Colored Pencil society of Artists)A member of the National ASBA and a docent for and Beechwood Reserve.
