Jazz Beginner is an introductory class for dancers ages 8-12. In Jazz, there is an emphasis on isolation, rhythm, energy, and self-expression.
Attire: Leotard, fitted t-shirt, tights, knit skirt, leggings, sweatpants, jazz shoes or lightweight sneakers.
Sage Ulrich
Sage Teaches: Dance and Theater
Sage Ulrich has been dancing since age four and has studied and performed with 171 Cedar Arts Center from childhood through to high school graduation. Performing and choreographing extensively throughout college, Sage graduated with a Bachelors in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Dance from Sarah Lawrence College in 2019. Sage has been teaching dance and art for the Summer Camp programs at 171 since 2017.
