Pre-Ballet

Dance | Available

Pre-Ballet is the first in the ballet graduated dance genre. It is for dancers ages 5+ who are a bit more mature and are ready for a more structured environment than our Creative Movement classes. It introduces the very young dancer to the basics of ballet in a format that is both fun and age-appropriate. This class will work to prepare dancers to continue into the next ballet class.

Attire: Leotard, fitted t-shirt, tights, leggings, dance skirt, knit shorts, sweatpants, ballet slippers.

Vicki Teaches: Ballet, Tap, Toddler Dance, and Outreach Programs

Vicki Rossettie as a youth studied dance with Mme. Halina and has performed in many productions as part of the Elmira/Corning Ballet Co. Vicki studied ballet, jazz, and modern dance and performed with various dance groups during her college years at SUNY Binghamton. Since then, she has taken master classes at SUNY Brockport and has continually enjoyed classes at 171 Cedar Arts Center each year and has performed in productions choreographed and directed by Lois Welk and Patty Ozer.

In addition to her job in the family business at Rhinehart Sand & Gravel Inc., Vicki has taught fitness classes at a number of local fitness centers and instructed aerobics, judo, and gymnastics classes at the Corning YMCA. She also taught in the 4’s classroom at the YMCA Preschool and attended workshops on early childhood education.

She has spent many years at All Saints Academy teaching dance, art, crafts and co-directing their annual Variety Show. She has also been instrumental in costuming East High Drama Productions and the Annual Ozer Story Ballet. Vicki’s five children have all enjoyed the benefits of dance classes at 171. Vicki is enthusiastic about being a member of the faculty and being able to share her passion for dance with the students, our future performers.
