Sgraffito Surface Decoration | Fall 2

Ceramics | Available

Join Martha as we spend four weeks exploring the sgraffito surface decorating technique. We'll carve and scrape away color with a variety of tools to create patterns and textures in this class designed for intermediate potters.

Bring your ideas, designs--and after the first week--each ceramicist will need to come with leather hard vessels or tiles.

Skills:

Intermediate ceramics skills. Students need to be able to independently prepare vessels to the leather-hard state.
