Teen Night #3 - Music & Mindfulness Workshop

In this fun, interactive teen night led by 171 dance instructor Laurel Shaut, you will discover how, through dance and movement, you can reclaim your own strength. Learn how to express emotion through dance and movement as a therapeutic release.
The workshop will include a discussion portion before and after a mindfulness exercise. The exercise will end with a dance party to release any tension and end in a good mood!
Wear comfortable clothes that you can move around in.

Laurel Shaut
Laurel Shaut began her ballet journey studying under Ms. Wendy at the age of four before continuing on to join 171 Cedar Arts Center. Throughout her years of dancing, Laurel has participated in Patty Ozer’s Story Ballets since 2015 and has choreographed two award winning competition dances with her fellow 171 Cedar Arts dancers. When she isn’t dancing, Laurel enjoys fostering her creative spirit by painting, drawing, ceramics, playing guitar, and sewing projects such as costumes for the Story Ballets. Laurel is very honored to be a part of the 171 Cedar Arts Center family and is proud to assist in fulfilling their mission of supporting the arts to the Corning community.
