Welcome to the registration page for our 2027 Patty Ozer Story Ballet: The Little Mermaid!

This is where you register to be in the performance. You will:

  • Read & sign the production contract
  • See information about auditions
  • Pick your t-shirt size
  • Pay your production fee

Audition Day – Saturday, September 26, 2026 – See Details Below in Special Notes

NOTE: Rehearsal & performance schedules are tentative until we receive a final contract from our venue.
Dress Rehearsal at 171 Ballroom – Sunday, January 24, 2027 – Time TBD

Dress Rehearsal – Thursday, January 28, 2027 – Time TBD

Dress Rehearsal – Friday, January 29, 2027 – Time TBD

Performances - Saturday, January 30, 2027 – Time TBD

Patty Ozer, 171 dance faculty, and 171 staff are very excited that you are joining us for another magical Story Ballet!

The Little Mermaid logo was created by 171 art & dance instructor and longtime Story Ballet dancer, Emily Swan!

  • Requirements to be in the show:

    • 7 years old or older by September 1, 2026
    • 2 years of dance experience
    • Current and continual enrollment and attendance in dance classes throughout the entire production schedule. THIS IS MANDATORY TO BE INVOLVED IN THE PRODUCTION.
    • A commitment to attending rehearsals (dancers and their parents are asked to sign a commitment contract stating they understand and accept the commitment of the rehearsal and performance schedule.)

    Audition Information:
    There will be OPEN AUDITIONS on Saturday, September 26, 2026 for the upcoming winter 2027 production of “The Little Mermaid.” The auditions will be held at 171 Cedar Arts Center in the Drake House Studio Theater at 155 Cedar Street (the building on the corner of First and Cedar Streets!)

    Audition Schedule:
    12:40-1:00........Ages 7-9
    1:00-1:20........Ages 10-11
    1:20-1:40........Ages 12-14 (all dancers, pointe, non-pointe, tappers, boys, girls)
    1:40-2:00........Pointe dancers (all ages)
    2:00-2:20........Ages 15-18 (all dancers, pointe, non-pointe, tappers, boys, girls)

Patty Ozer

Patty Teaches: Ballet, Jazz, Pointe, and Partnering

Patty Ozer studied both ballet and ethnic dance at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. She went on to study ballet, jazz, and modern at SUNY Binghamton where she received her B.A. Ms. Ozer has performed with the Ithaca Ballet, American Dance Asylum, and ’36 Dance Troupe in Binghamton, NY. She was a principal dancer with both the Elmira/Corning Ballet Company and the Twin Tier Ballet Theatre. At the School of Dance Arts, she taught ballet, jazz, tap, rhythmic dance, and acrobatics. Patty enjoys working on the Story Ballet production each year and currently teaches jazz and ballet.
