Leaders: Stephen Danna: Pursuing an MS degree in Oceanography was my wakeup call to climate change back in the early 80s. Working for NOAA and the US Naval Oceanographic Office solidified my concerns. Since then I’ve made it my mission to help others understand the perils of climate change. The trick is to balance hope with the urgency for action. Anne Lowenthal: I have always believed we should leave the earth a better place for our grandchildren and their children; AND that the US Constitution and Bill of Rights were unalienable. I came to activism late in life, because of the outcome of the 2024 Presidential election - I had to DO something rather than sit and despair over that outcome.
