Each week we are inundated with local and national news articles involving the law. We will review recent cases as they appear in the news and learn how the case was brought and the reasoning behind the outcome. Members of the class will be encouraged to suggest newsworthy cases.

Mike Schnittman is a retired lawyer who has been an Osher member since he retired in 2011 and has led courses in law (Law 101) and literature (Roth, Hemingway, Salinger, and Orwell). A member since 2018, Sue Stewart is also a retired lawyer and has co-led Law in the News previously.
