History of Sculpture: Part 2 RIT (Zoom)

This class will begin with the High Renaissance sculpture, Baroque, Classical all the way through Modern and Contemporary Sculpture. We will consider why sculpture was made, its purpose, and who paid for it, as well as the influence of culture on this important evolution.
Participation in Part 1 of this course (Fall 2024) is not a pre-requisite.

Nancy McAfee
Nancy McAfee is an art historian who spent 18 years at the Cleveland Museum of Art as an educator and community outreach director including 10 years teaching AP art history. She has an AB from Cornell and an MA in art history from Case Western Reserve University.
