Featuring Don Herzberg, Ivy Schweitzer, Pamela Ahlen, and Betsy Vickers, attendees will enjoy live readings from each poet, followed by a reception featuring beverages and snacks.

Don Herzberg:
Don has lived in Vermont since 1980 and is a retired doctor with an MFA in poetry writing. He has self-published his book Dancing on Earth and two books coupling his poetry with his wife’s artwork. His chapbook, The Things She Said, has been published by Red Bird Chapbooks.
"A few years ago I realized I was frequently quoting my mother’s sayings in my own day-to-day life. I thought I might be able to bring what that meant into clearer focus by including each of the remembered sayings into a poem and put those together into a short book."
Ivy Schweitzer:
Born in Brooklyn, Ivy Schweitzer lives in Norwich, VT and has taught English and Women’s Studies at Dartmouth College. Within Flesh: In Conversation with Our Selves and Emily Dickinson, poems co-written with Al Salehi, appeared in 2024. Her debut solo collection, Dividing Rivers, will be published in August 2025 by Finishing Line Press. She is currently working on new poems about the garden under threat. Pamela Ahlen
Pamela Ahlen is special events coordinator for Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Dartmouth. She compiled and edited Osher’s Anthology of Poets and Writers: Celebrating Twenty-Five Years at Dartmouth. Pamela received an MFA from Vermont College of Fine Arts and is the author of the chapbook Gather Every Little Thing (Finishing Line Press) and the co-author (with Anne Bower) of Getting it Down on Paper, Shaping a Friendship (Orchard Street Press).
Betsy Vickers
Betsy Vickers is a graduate of Bennington College and has an MFA in Printmaking from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She worked previously creating print media and websites for educational programs, with an emphasis on study abroad. She has been dedicated to writing poetry since 1995 and has led several ILEAD/OSHER courses—most recently Writing Poems with Don Herzberg.
