MFA Winslow Homer Day Trip

Join Osher on Wednesday, November 19 and spend the day walking the halls of the MFA. Our entry time for the "Of Light and Air: Winslow Homer in Watercolor" exhibit will either be 11:30 AM or 12:00 PM. You have plenty of time to explore other exhibits at the MFA if you wish! Spend time viewing Masterpieces of Egyptian Sculpture from the Pyramid Age, visit the Dutch and Flemish Art space, or enjoy the Art of the Americas exhibit, to name just a few.  

For lunch, you may stop in at the New American Cafe, which is à la carte dining, located on Level 1. Alternatively, you could visit the Garden Cafeteria for comfort food, sandwiches, salads, and snacks. Head to Level G and finish out the day by making a stop at Taste, where you will find coffee, sweet and savory bites, as well as beer and wine! (Please note that snacks and meals are not included in the cost of this trip and may be purchased at your own expense.)

We are happy to stop at the New London Park & Ride for any registrants from the New London or Grantham area. Please email the office at osher@dartmouth.edu to let us know that is where you wish to board the bus.

The price of this day trip includes round-trip bus transportation and your entrance ticket to the MFA; you are responsible for all other expenses, including refreshments. Registration costs for this trip are non-refundable.

  • TRIP ITINERARY

     

    8:15:00 AM: Please arrive at the parking lot behind the Osher office building (1 Court St). This lot is on the same level as the CCBA and the basketball courts. This is the Taylor Street Parking Lot.

     

    Prior to checking-in with staff member Elizabeth Humphreys at the bus on November 19, you must provide the following:

    • Completed release forms
    • Your cell phone number
    • Name and contact info for your emergency contact  

     

     

    8:30 AM: Depart from Lebanon, NH - Taylor Street Parking Lot (behind 1 Court Street) in Lebanon 

     

    9:00 AM: Pick up at New London Park and Ride (Please email the Osher office if you are boarding the bus at the New London Park & Ride)

     

    10:00 AM: Stop at the Hooksett rest area 

     

    10:45 PM: Arrive in Boston at the MFA - Lunch is on your own

     

    3:30 PM: Depart MFA (please be back at the bus by 3:15 for an on-time departure)

     

    6:00 PM: Drop off at New London Park and Ride

     

    6:30 PM: Arrive in Lebanon
