HOWDY, saddle partners! Come along as we explore some scenic backcountry horse trails, or trailless routes, and environs. This course will relate stories of horseback adventures in the U.S., Europe, and South America. PowerPoint presentations will bring you along on these hard riding experiences from an “armchair” perspective. Learn some cultural, educational, historical, and horsemastership aspects without spending hours in the saddle in all kinds of weather and dealing with various types of terrain. Saddle up and come along!

This course will combine lecture with class discussions.

Miller, Lynne
Lynne Miller

Lynne A. Miller has many and varied stories to tell about her life with horses. From cow pastures to the hunter/jumper show ring, carriage driving, dressage, cattle work, and competitive trail, to the racetrack to adventuresome trekking, Lynne has experienced the horse world first-hand. Her experience breeding, training, and competing has given her an unusual perspective on that world. She is presently an avid supporter of the Retired Racehorse Project’s Thoroughbred Makeover.
