Pauli and Jung: Exploring the Intersection of Physics and Psychology (Zoom)
Winter (4 - 8.5 hours) | Registration opens 11/24/2025 12:00 AM EST
Nearly 100 years ago, the physicist Wolfgang Pauli and the psychologist Carl Jung began a 20+ year correspondence that explored the correlation between the inner world and the outer world. Originally motivated by Pauli’s troubled personal life, together they examined the philosophical implications of quantum physics, dreams and symbols, and Jung’s concept of synchronicity. In this course we’ll look at both men, their letters to each other, and the implications of their ideas in the world today.
This course will combine lecture with class discussions.
