JOYSPAN: The Art and Science of Thriving in Life’s Second Half (In-person)
Spring (9 - 13 hours) | Available (Membership Required)
Have you tried these approaches to aging well?
- Head in the Sand: just don’t think about growing older.
- Anti-aging: exercise like a maniac, creams, supplements, detox diets, injectables, special make up, cold plunges, hot saunas, peels, surgeries
- Age is Just A Number: Aging is just mind over matter and if you just keep doing what you are doing and you’ll never get old.
- Fatalistic thinking: getting old sucks and then you die.
Thriving in longevity is not just genes nor good luck. A good life all the way can be intentionally created through a science-based approach to well-being in longevity—the joyspan matrix—which consists of four proven, action-based elements: grow, connect, adapt, and give.
Joyspan is a practice that anyone—at any age—can adopt. We will discuss just how to apply its principles and work through the easy, fun, and revealing exercises the author provides. As one of the editors of JOYSPAN, your Study Leader is very knowledgable about the book’s strategies and has completed them herself. Come join one of the JOYSPAN circles popping up around the world to have more joy in your life at any age!
This course will consist of discussions between the Study Leader and participants.
This is a five-session course (14 hours total).
