Love Beyond the Grave: Six Romantic Ghost Movies (In-person)
Spring (14 hrs or more) | Available (Membership Required)
We will screen six movies of romance, grieving, and comic relief. There are no horror films! It’s a sweet collection with little suspense and a lot of love. Following each film I will present added visuals and information about its making, with discussion about the directors, actors, music, and settings. There will be about 30 minutes of added materials after each film screening. We will view:
- Blithe Spirit (1945) 1 hour 36 minutes
- The Uninvited (1944) 1 hour 39 minutes
- The Ghost and Mrs. Muir (1947) 1 hour 44 minutes
- Truly Madly Deeply (1990) 1 hour 46 minutes
- Always (1989) 2 hours 3 minutes
- Ghost (1990) 2 hours 7 minutes
This course will combine lecture with class discussion.
Please note: Classes on May 14 and 21 will end at 6:00 PM due to longer film running times.
