Osher at High Horses (In-person)
Summer (3 to 6.5 hrs) | Available (Membership Required)
Equine-assisted services can offer extensive benefits for individuals with physical, developmental, and learning challenges. The High Horses Center for Equine-Assisted Services — located here in the Upper Valley — is an accredited center that offers state-of-the-art therapies and interventions for people with a wide range of health issues, improving their lives and those of their families through human-horse connections. This two-part class provides participants with an opportunity to learn more about the field of equine-assisted services and the role these therapies can play in clients' and caregivers' lives, including a visit to the farm to experience a session and meet the special horses who have the patience and training to work with our clients. Participants must provide their own transportation to High Horses in Sharon, VT; carpooling is encouraged. We will make carpool arrangements in the first class.
