What is DNA testing all about and how can it help you build your family tree? Learn how to get the most out of your DNA testing results. Learn what your ethnicity estimate really means and how to utilize the best features of each testing company’s website. We will cover DNA testing by the main four companies and touch on third-party sites. A study guide, Genetic Genealogy in Practice by Blaine T. Bettinger and Debbie Parker Wayne, is optional but highly recommended. This course will focus on autosomal DNA testing, but will also touch on the X and Y chromosomes as well as mitochondrial DNA.
