Is seeking to be free from suffering actually a hindrance to the happiness we seek? We will discuss the basic themes in Buddhism, Jungian Psychology, and Adaita philosophy, looking for common threads and understanding. Our goal is to experience these teachings in a more subjective way, rather than only intellectually. With a slight shift in perspective, perhaps new meanings of who we think we are will be revealed. A brief meditation and a lecture will be presented each week, along with a short reading or video. Optional assignments for homework will be offered for those who wish more in-depth work. Keeping a personal journal during the course is highly recommended.
