The Arts in Lovely, Lively Lebanon has been revised since Trip Anderson left the AVA Gallery. We are excited to announce that Bente Torjusen, former Director will be our hostess for the April 9th class at AVA Gallery.

The program for ‘The Arts in Lovely, Lively Lebanon’ will include visits with the following:
Susan Apel, writer of ‘The Artful Edge’ for the Daily UV
Bente Torjusen, former Director of the AVA Gallery
Ben Van Vliet, Executive Director of the Upper Valley Music Center
Evans Haile, General Director of Opera North.

Here is the schedule for the class:

The class on April 2
10-11 we will meet at the Upper Valley Music Center on the Lebanon Green where Susan Apel, writer of ‘The Artful Edge’ for the Daily UV will talk about arts in the Upper Valley.
11:00 We'll walk slowly to Three Tomatoes Restaurant which opens at 11:30
11:30-12:30 Lunch with Bente Torjusen, retired Director of AVA Gallery and Clifford West's widow. Cliffords,murals adorn the walls at Three Tomatoes. Bente and Susan will join us for lunch.

The class on April 9th will be at AVA Gallery.
10-12 Bente Torjusen, Previous Director, will talk with us about the AVA Gallery and give us a tour of the AVA Gallery and the Bente Torjusen Sculpture Center.

The class on April 16th will be at Upper Valley Music Center.

11:00-12:00 Evans Haile, General Director, Opera North

Sylvia Paxton left work for prisoner rights behind and came to the Upper Valley where she celebrates the art scene and how it has enriched her retirement.

Barbara is an inveterate, oversubscribed volunteer and traveler who can imagine living somewhere other than the Upper Valley, where arts, and OSHER@Dartmouth educational and volunteer opportunities abound. But she doesn’t want to!
