At the request of some participants, we will continue the course in Beginning Latin that we started in Fall 2018 and held in Winter 2019. Continuing the process we developed, we will look at syntax (that’s grammar) and see how that changed through the centuries. Participants who wish to join this group will need to have some knowledge of Latin grammar and vocabulary. Each week there will be a reading assignment chosen from a text agreed upon by the group at the finish of the winter term. Along the way, we’ll undoubtedly cover a bit of Roman and European history as it relates to language as it comes up. And we will celebrate our achievements Roman style!
