Masters of English Language Poetry
Winter (14+ hours) | This course is completed
This course will review key poems from many of the “masters” of English-language poetry (e.g., Wordsworth, Shakespeare, Yeats, Eliot) as well as some lesser-known poets. We will also be focusing on work by people of color and women, some very well known, others maybe less so. We will spend a short time on each poet, so this will be a bit of a “greatest hits” exercise. We will focus on reading poems out loud, and participants will be encouraged to volunteer to do so.
