The two field trips will be scheduled and announced in the spring. Dates to come.

The course will cover all of the elements of perennial gardening, and is meant for both new and seasoned gardeners. Emphasis will be on the essentials of a beautiful garden and will cover soils, light, design, maintenance, and everything that contributes to the success and enjoyment of the garden.

We will be using slides that show the progression of blooming from May to October in three local gardens this winter, and we will schedule visits to those gardens this summer. The purpose of this course is to encourage the participants to be creative, and to give them the tools to succeed in creating beautiful gardens.

Carol has been gardening for over 50 years and was self-taught until her retirement allowed her to study Horticulture at UNH. She presently operates a small business  “Gypsy Gardener” which does consulting, garden design, and restoration as well as  field growing special varieties of perennials.
