Some years ago, my daughter, Katie (D’06) said to me, “Hey Dad, now that I’m not playing lacrosse anymore, why don’t I take winter term off and we take the ski trip you always dreamed of?” So we proceeded to visit 71 North American ski areas in 11 weeks.

Beginning New Year’s Day, we hit 19 New England areas plus Whiteface, then flew to Salt Lake City where I had a previously scheduled board meeting, rented an SUV, and racked up 7,000 miles throughout the West, making 52 additional stops. This course will retrace those steps with original photos, together with roadmaps and updated trail maps, to guide commentary on each ski area.
