Miguel de Cervantes’ Don Quixote is the first important novel in Western literature. Written in two parts, published in 1605 and 1615, respectively, it has influenced many subsequent authors. Our group will read the book in translation over the course of 12 weeks. Coordinator Marilyn Roberts will guide members in discussions of the book rather than lecture. The text is Edith Grossmann’s engaging modern translation of the novel (ISBN-13: 978-0060934347). See the Osher website for more information.
