Speaker Rob Gurwitt started as a journalist at Congressional Quarterly in Washington, DC, moved on to Governing magazine, and then carved out a career writing for magazines about how communities grapple with change. He was part of the team behind the local news-media startup DailyUV. In March 2019 he left the organization and launched Daybreak, the weekday-morning newsletter for and about the Upper Valley.
