The Korean Spirit and Culture Promotion Project (KSCPP) will teach participants step by step how making a lovely lotus flower lantern using colored paper and a pre-made wire frame via live stream. At the same time, the participants will learn about Korea’s unique history and culture.

A short documentary, Korea Today, will play toward the end of the class (approx. 12 minutes long).

After the Korean war, Korea was the poorest country in the world, but in 2021 (according US NEWS) Korea became the 8th most powerful country in the world. To get to this point, our parents' generation worked hard and practiced Korea's founding philosophy, "Hognik Ingan", which means to live and act for the benefit of all mankind. It is a very interesting and touching story, and full of inspiration.
