In this four-week course guided by Dianne Burger, you’ll embark on a transformative journey of self-expression through the malleable medium of clay. You’ll delve into the art of handbuilding, exploring traditional techniques working with clay slabs and coils to create functional or decorative pottery pieces.

Explore creativity through various surface treatments, including texture rollers, stamping, and carving, adding depth and character to your creations. The artistic exploration continues with a vibrant array of colorful glaze options to choose from.

Whether you arrive with a specific concept in mind or seek inspiration from the extensive collection of demo pieces, Dianne’s nurturing guidance will empower you to express yourself freely and confidently. All materials and tools will be provided, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience.

Dianne Burger

Dianne Burger is the owner of Blackberry Hill Art Center. Her love for clay began in 2006 at the Armory Art Center, where she immersed herself in classes and the Master Artist Workshops, honing her skills and developing an appreciation for the tactile nature of clay. Dianne began on a teaching path, guiding students through the process of bringing clay to life. She has taught Clay Construction at the Armory and The Pineapple House Studio in West Palm Beach, FL, and at Blackberry Hill Art Center in Orford, NH.
