Using colored pencils is not just about simply coloring a drawing; it’s about learning to use them to enhance your work. These are many tips that can help; for example, start light and build up to darker shades; blend your colors for great effects.One can work in a sketchy style or pursue a more final, burnished look.There are approaches to explore!

  • Supply List: 

    Drawing paper of choice, anything but Canson. Must be no smaller than 11"x14"

    Colored pencils: I use Prismacolor, just  don't use Crayola

    HB pencils,

    Eraser. I use Factis or a gummed eraser

    Scrap paper for testing color and for thumb nails.

Holds a BFA from Syracuse University. She presently teaches at Silvermine School Of Art. Lisa has presented art history lectures throughout Connecticut as well as exhibited her art work.
