If you have an interest in comic books, creating character driven stories and like to draw, this class is for you! Whether you love Super-heroes, Sci-fi, Manga, Fantasy or the Sunday Funnies, the structure within is all the same. Students will learn about storytelling and pacing, page layout, character design, drawing and composing for comics, simple perspective, inking techniques and some tips on lettering their comics. A personal sketchbook is recommended. 

  • Reduced tuition on youth classes requires a family membership. For a full-day program, a morning class may be combined with an afternoon class. Supervised "bridge" care is available for these students, between 12-1PM, for an additional $40 per week. 

DAVID FERREIRA holds a BFA from Montserrat College of Art. He has pursued a career in freelance illustration, teaching and fine art. He’s had work published by The New Hampshire Telegraph, Sam Adams Brewing Co., EMCParadigm Publishing and Olivia Kent. He recently received a first place New Hampshire Press Association award for his “Catch a Wish” illustration. David believes it is an artists’ nature and duty to challenge themselves, as well as others, on how they perceive their work.
