Enjoying the beauty of high key color in summer, and the long days! This for-all-levels workshop combines studio painting, composition and color problem solving, and a short critique at the end that looks at what to enhance in your painting style. Learn new ideas whether you work in realism, narrative, abstraction in relation to the subject. Choose photos from your cell phone about your life and interests. We start all prima in class to expressively capture ideas, then consider and manipulate areas of the painted surface. A teacher can guide you to make choices that give rewarding results in image-making.

  • Materials: Bring medium paper or canvases, 16x20 or bigger, paint, brushes. Professor experienced in watercolor, acrylic, oils, collage.
