Kids Pottery By Wheel & Hand

In this class students will work on the potter’s wheel and learn hand building methods as well. Beginners will learn all the basics of pottery while returning students will get a chance to improve their skills on new projects. Students will be make some pieces which they can eat or drink out of and be given some time to explore their own ideas. Several finishing and glazing techniques will be taught. Please note: no class 10/14.

Alice Chittenden
ALICE CHITTENDEN holds a BFA degree from the University of Hartford and a MALS from Wesleyan University. She has studied at the Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, The Penland School of Crafts and Alfred University. She maintains her own studio and for the past five years has participated in the Shoreline Arts Trail. Her work is in the collection of the Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute, Jingdezhen, China and private collections in the UK, Australia and the US. She exhibits throughout Connecticut
