Kids Pottery By Wheel & Hand

Students will work on the potter’s wheel and learn hand building methods as well.
Beginners will learn all the basics of pottery while returning students will get a chance to
improve their skills on new projects. Students can make some pieces to use for food and
drink; there will also be time to explore their own ideas. Several finishing and glazing
techniques will be taught. Fee payable with tuition $20.00
- Reduced tuition rates on youth classes requires family level membership.
Alice Chittenden
ALICE CHITTENDEN holds a BFA degree from the University of Hartford and a MALS from Wesleyan University. She has studied at the Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, The Penland School of Crafts and Alfred University. She maintains her own studio and for the past five years has participated in the Shoreline Arts Trail. Her work is in the collection of the Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute, Jingdezhen, China and private collections in the UK, Australia and the US. She exhibits throughout Connecticut
