All About Kites 7/21-25 Week 5
Youth Class | Available
We will use repurposed/recycled materials and our imaginations to build functional kites. Participants will learn how to make simple paper kites and some sewing and more advanced kite-building skills to build, paint, and decorate beautiful flying sculptures from recycled fabric, bamboo and bicycle spokes. We’ll also learn about kite-building traditions and celebrations from different cultures, and have some fun hand-building with air-dry clay to make and decorate some very fancy kite-string winders.
- Reduced tuition on youth classes requires a family membership. For a full-day program, a morning class may be combined with an afternoon class. Supervised "bridge" care is available for these students, between 12-1PM, for an additional $40 per week.
