Campfire Tools Workshop
Adult Workshop | Registration opens 5/14/2025 8:00 PM EDT
Make your campfire time more enjoyable by using handmade campfire tools. This class will focus on forging a campfire/cooking tripod and also a number of cooking accessories depending on the time and forging ability. S-hooks, a cooking trammel, trivets, dutch oven lid lifter, and fire poker are some examples of accessories students may make during the class. Forging experience is suggested as some of the projects may be challenging for a new student. Drawing out, forge welding, twisting, and punching are some of the skills this class will focus on.
- Students will need safety glasses, dust mask or respirator, leather work gloves, (welding gauntlets not needed) and should wear jeans, a non-flammable cotton shirt and/or jacket, and closed-toed boots or leather shoes. Our forge is an outdoor building that is only semi-enclosed; please dress accordingly. For full-day workshops, please bring a lunch to be on the safe side, as there may or may not be time to get food during a lunch break.
