Contemporary Watercolor - Follow the Leader
Adult Class | Registration opens 8/6/2025 8:00 PM EDT
Create fresh, inspired watercolor paintings. Nuanced color, compositional lights, and calligraphic marks add unique style. Watercolor is a process, step-by-step, light to dark, big to small. Sable (mink) brushes for transparent washes and Japanese natural-hair brushes, to draw and color layers, add to the luxury of the experience. Learn the mechanics and proceed to spirited paintings of our flower still life or documenting your travels, environment, and memorable events. Please note: no class 10/13
- Please note: This class is 7 sessions
- Supplies for first class: Bring supplies you have, or borrow from friends. Except for paper (a small tablet of Cold Press), don’t buy new until show-and-tell in first class. Don’t buy kits of brushes! Only 5 specific brushes are the secret. Print cell phone photos about your travels, events, experiences, and bring them to paint from.
