Needle Felted Painting with Wool Workshop
Adult Workshop | Registration opens 8/6/2025 8:00 PM EDT
Explore a magical medium that has a myriad of painterly qualities. The technique of needlefelting enables you to build up textures and colors as you begin with a blank background. The forgiving qualities of this medium will help you express your ideas in a fun risk free way. The wool allows you to create a low relief sculpture, a textured painting, or tapestry. You need not stay in a rectangular format. Think outside the box and let your creativity flow.
Robin McCahill
Robin is a professional puppeteer and board member of the Connecticut Guild of Puppetry. With a mechanical background, making sculptures that come alive and breathe is magic. We are allowed to suspend reality and connect with our inner child. You may see Robin with large puppets such as a unicorn, phoenix, dragons, owls and other animals at outdoor events connecting with Mother Earth.
Working mainly with felting and finding the attributes of this medium as it connects and changes and becomes something other than it’s origin yet maintains those elements as well is magic.
