Machine Sewing Basics
Adult Class | Registration opens 8/6/2025 8:00 PM EDT
Students will master the basics of machine sewing. Proper hemming, measuring and fabric selection will be reviewed. Project choices are a table runner, napkins, apron, envelope pillow or other ideas students may have. There should be time to complete at least two projects. This class is suitable for beginners & those who need a refresher. Please bring a pair of sharp fabric scissors and fabric of your choice.

Tina McKim
Tina holds a BS degree in Fabric Design from Philadelphia Textile and a Certificate in Fashion Design from School of Fashion Design, Boston. Tina taught patternmaking, sewing & textiles in the Fashion Design program at Gibbs College for 7 years. Since 2010, has created a line of tote bags, clothing & accessories from hand screen printed textiles sold in CT & online. Currently, is a member of CT River Artisans Co-op.
