Stacking Rings Workshop

Adult | Registration opens 11/17/2025 8:00 PM EST

Create a set of unique stackable rings designed to complement the others. Using assorted wire of varying thicknesses and widths, shape, solder, and texture the rings with hammers. Students can add beads and other decorative elements for added variety. Silver wire and sheet will be available for purchase from the instructor. Materials cost: approximately $10–$30, depending on usage.

Joy Raskin

JOY RASKIN is one of the youngest craftspeople to be accepted into the League of NH Craftsmen in 1986 after completing a BFA from RISD and a MFA from UMass Dartmouth, focusing on flatware (and earned the nickname "Spoon Lady"!). After a short stint as a bench jeweler for several fine jewelry stores, repairing jewelry, she went back to making flatware full-time after winning an Individual Artist Fellowship from the NH Council for the Arts in 1995. Winning the Individual Artist Fellowship gave her the boost to go sell her artwork throughout the US doing fine craft shows. In 1996, she started teaching jewelry making/metalsmithing at a local art college and branched out to teaching all over NH, MA and CT. She’s also a creative teacher, teaching a broad range of jewelry and silversmithing techniques at various schools in New England. She's currently working full time as a metalsmith in her studio, teaching metalsmithing and working as a goldsmith for a local gallery.
