Needle Felted Sculpture Workshop

Bring an idea or just come to play and explore the magical fiber Art form of needle felting. Using a special barbed needle and colorful wool, layer and form textures that can be relief sculptures or fully 3 dimensional ones. There are limitless possibilities such as embellishing garments like boiled wool jackets. Tell me what you want to do and I will help you do it! I create puppets with this art form. It is an enjoyable medium that is easy to work on anywhere; no water or paint to clean up.

Robin is a professional puppeteer and board member of the Connecticut Guild of Puppetry. With a mechanical background, making sculptures that come alive and breathe is magic. We are allowed to suspend reality and connect with our inner child. You may see Robin with large puppets such as a unicorn, phoenix, dragons, owls and other animals at outdoor events connecting with Mother Earth.
Working mainly with felting and finding the attributes of this medium as it connects and changes and becomes something other than it’s origin yet maintains those elements as well is magic.
