Summer Joy Air Dry Clay 7/6-10 Week 3

Explore the fun of creating summer-themed air dry clay projects. Children will paint projects with underglazes and bright summer colors . They will also embellish their clay with fun materials like; shells, beads, glitter, googly eyes, pipe cleaners as well as natural materials like; stones ,acorn caps , sticks, leaves, sand, pinecones and flowers. Little artists will explore all the wonderful techniques of using clay such as ; coiling, hinging, slab rolling, pressing stamps, and using different types of clay tools to make a variety of marks and lines. Some projects will include underwater sea creatures, animals that live in the woods , fields and trees, shaped botanical containers ,coil pots, treasure boxes and luminaries to set on a summer porch. Come roll up your sleeves and join the clay fun!
- Reduced tuition on youth classes requires a family membership. For a full-day program, a morning class may be combined with an afternoon class. Supervised "bridge" care is available for these students, between 12-1PM, for an additional $40 per week.
