Metals & Jewelry: Session B
Adult | Registration opens 2/16/2026 8:00 PM EST
Learn to create art from fine metals through demonstration, discussion, and hands-on work. Students will explore metalworking tools and techniques with copper, brass, and silver, including sawing, filing, soldering, cold connections, forming, surface textures, stone setting, and finishing. Additional techniques will be introduced based on class interest, with guidance to foster creativity and design skills. Please attend the first class and bring a notebook and pen.

CONNIE PFEIFFER received her MFA from Rochester Institute of Technology in upstate NY and a BA from Southern Connecticut State University. She has extensive teaching experience with a number of schools including Creative Arts Workshop, Wesleyan Potters, Rochester Magnet School of the Arts, Rochester Institute of Technology and the Jewish Community Center. Connie is a sculptor, metalsmith, and installation artist and a co-founder of City Gallery in New Haven. She maintains a studio in East Haddam, CT and exhibits widely
