Spring Celebration of Crafts Around the World

Youth and Teen | Registration opens 2/18/2026 8:00 PM EST

This new class explores crafts from different corners of the world while celebrating the spirit of spring and themes of new growth and new beginnings. Students will create art inspired by global traditions, such as a New Zealand koru spiral necklace based on the unfurling fern frond. Projects may include a selection of international crafts like lantern making, printmaking, weaving, painting, clay work, and wax resist techniques, offering a hands-on introduction to art from a variety of cultures.
