All art is beautiful and enriches the world, but functional art is truly something special. This class will allow students to create a refillable journal cover for a notebook that has either lined pages for writing or blank pages for sketching. Students will pick their project size in accordance with what kind of notebook they would like it to house – moleskin or hardcover. This project will cover skills in design work, patterning, tooling, dye work and sewing. Students are suggested to either bring an apron or wear clothes that can potentially get stained as it is possible this may occur in the process of finishing projects.
