Advanced Rigid Heddle Loom Weaving

Designed for students already comfortable with the basics of rigid heddle weaving, this class explores more complex patterns, techniques, and design possibilities. Expand your skills while experimenting with texture, color, and structure to create more dynamic woven pieces. Students must bring their own rigid heddle loom and yarn. Materials for the advanced session will not be provided by the school.

Robert Aiudi

Robert Aiudi, weaving & spinning since the age of about 8, comes from a silk weaving family from northern Italy.  He studied at Wesleyan Potters in the 80s with Laurie Frenzel among others and is proud of his Textile Merit Badge from Boy Scouts achieved around 1971. He has spun nearly every fiber and weaves in many styles from traditional Colonial to modern tapestry techniques.  He has a textile studio in Branford.
